Nice way to close out the USATF-NE All Terrain Series. Got the win which also should bump me up to first in the series. Wet and windy course, almost a little chilly out there in a singlet and half tights, but at least the rain stopped. 

Got out in the front and never looked back. Okay, I did look back a few times, but never relinquished the lead despite taking a spill at the bottom of the hill on lap one. Really thought someone was close enough to pass me at that point in the race. Got up quickly though and kept pressing knowing that that was likely the only section of course where trouble might arise.

Finished out the first lap well, though I could tell my lead wasn't huge, maybe 5-10 seconds. Also pretty sure second place was gaining on me through the first half of lap two. Felt confident going into the one hill as hills are kinda my strength and after a decent climb and descent I never really was challenged. Pretty sure second place ended up falling in the same place I did on lap one, but I didn't see it happen and I had also started lapping people at that point so I knew that someone passing me was unlikely until maybe the final 200m at which point I was fairly confident in my kick, but luckily I didn't need it.

Course ended up being a little long, though less so than was kinda thought after my course walk and warm up. Significant elevation though for such a short race and only minor tweaks from the XC version of this course which does make the time from that all the more impressive.

All in all, glad to get the W and hopefully I can get another couple before the end of the year
