Post-Hike Run

Nice hike this morning. Super humid and it definitely rained up here last night which was not the most helpful thing. Legs were a little tired/ stiff at the start, so didn't really push the early stages. Began some occasional running after 10 minutes. KInda sorta wanted to push the north slide, and kinda sorta did, but it seems like the footing gets worse every time I hike this and the wet conditions did me no favors. Still managed to put in a solid time though.

Had a pint of ice cream on Middle Tri, Peanut Butter Fudge Pretzel for 29/48 with my fancy ice cream. Kinda a shame, cause I would have gotten the loop crown if I didn't stop and eat. The north slide was slick, but the south slide is where I went down. Nothing serious, but wet rocks and loose sand make things tricky. Some minor scraping on my arm, but no real damage. Started running as much as I could after the slide, but did run the final 2.6 back to the car. Not quite sure if I want to go through the effort of flagging all the people on the final descent segment, some are definitely on skis and others on bikes, maybe even some in cars. No way you're doing this loop in 4+ hours, but dropping back to back sub 5 or sub 6 miles at the very end. I was comfortably jogging 7:30s after a pretty aggressive hike
