Day 6 bikepacking Vegas-LA

spent the morning drying everything out. As I was doing so one of the CDT hikers came by as well as one more CT hiker Chatted with them for a bit than I quickly packed up and began climbing up. It wasn’t long before I was above Treeline wuth 360 degree view. at the top of your first pass, clouds begin to roll in and as I approached the top it began to hail. We dropped down from the past, hugged the Ridgeline until we got to the second Kokomo pass. then the hail cleared out and it was sunny again. As I descended from the pass towards camp hale, which was an old military base, i met another CT hiker whom i chatted with at a beautiful overlook before finishing the descent. as i got to the bottom the rain began again but only for an hour. the trail goes beside highway 23 for a couple miles before crossing it. at lincoln pass a trail runner passed me and then i joined him on his run. we found edible mushrooms during the run which i added to my ramen. the rest of the evening was clear up until about 9 pm when it began to rain again. i quickly found a campsite and set up my hammock
