First time ever running this distance. Joined the race on a whim because Chauna was doing it. Ran w/ a relay runner for the first few miles and then lead the race through 13 miles. Christian caught me at the 1/2 marathon mark and we battled it out for the last 2.5 miles but ultimately he had a better day and more left in the tank. First time racing anything over a 1/2 marathon since pre-Covid. Won me an 🍎 pie!
