Coosa BCT Winter Wonderland

Man was it epic.  Mostly nice packed snow, the loose snow felt like sand.   I wore the Merrell Longskys and had plenty of traction.  Well, in combo with my poles.  Only slipped twice, fell once.   Temps started high 20’s low 30’s, finished in low mid 40’s to low 50’s, and the snow was turning to slush.   

Layered Injjni’s and Darn tough socks and the kept my feet warm.   Merino wool 1/2 zip w/ a Mountain Hardware air mesh 1/2zip.   Stretchy gloves, and a merino buff for most of it.  I also started and finished with my Montane rain jacket.  Thermal tights from balaef and 5” shorts from REI.   And my TEAM SUMMIT trucker hat.
