Phew uphills kicked my butt, definitely not in the trail shape I was this summer. But still adored flying down after. The Chisos mountains are such a cool little area jutting up in the middle of the desert.


Also, I always chuckle a bit when the rangers/volunteers in a visitor center tell me I’m gonna have a long day ahead of me when I’m asking about trail details. 

Lovely overcast weather, although pretty windy the first half. Saw a few Carmen mountain whitetail deer and I think Mexican Jays.
