VO2 and Tempo

4x2m VO2 @ equal work/rest, 1x30m tempo. Not sure why I thought Rattlesnake Gutter would be in any condition for hill repeats. Got 3/4 of the way up during the first one and realized I was riding on a sheet on ice covered with a thin layer of sand. Aborted that and used the bottom half of Cave Hill SB instead (thought that was a segment?). Had trouble getting the HR into VO2 despite the effort being there. Either an error with the device or I'm really fatigued. The tempo climb was in a big gear and ended with a 30s sprint.
