hope the days that lie ahead bring us back to where they've led

bruises on my memory

ain't no use jivin', ain't no use jokin', everything is broken

in the stands the home crowd scatters, for the turnstiles...

one pattern I could do without... the shockingly abrupt spiral from youthful-like physical highs to frighteningly debilitating lows...
after years of occasional low back twinges + tightnesses, i got a more close-up + personal glimpse of friend's stories of crawling around on hands & knees, completely vulnerable and unable to get up.
thanks to Lavender Pants + Margo for coaxing me out of bed midday for a multi-hour Keoughs hot springs session. I'm sure the cocktail of prednisone + muscle relaxers helped motivate too.
feeling very grateful to be able to move at all this evening...
