On beliefs, on relationships, on music and pastimes. I’ve spent years being closed minded about stuff but happy to grow and see things thru new eyes. If your mind is made up what new perspectives can you gain. Conversely, if something isn’t providing joy or inspiration why not cut the cord. 

Shout out to random forest runner, John Kelly for planting that seed Snake is a better  run than elk. When I first read this I was ready to defend elk knob. But I got to enjoy them both today.

I’ve spent most my time in meat camp climbing the knob and only done snake a few times. But snake does feel like a true mountain run. Approaching storm gave it a Colorado vibe, steep granite scrambles, rocky switchbacks,  360 degree view, secluded birds, techy descent. As opposed to running up a nice hiking trail, I still love elk and it great for training if a different way but snake is special, and I’ll have this one in the rotation more this year.
