relaxed day with a late start. hiked along the rim pretty much all morning beautiful views of shasta and lassen. even took an hour break at lunch which was real nice. got warmer in the afternoon in the sun but nothing that bad. took the side trail thru subway lava tunnels which was wild. made it to old station general store around 4 ate a two burritos, a milkshake, chicken potpie, two 32 oz lemonades and split a quart of ice cream with punisher.
