Was supposed to rain 1hr. Rained all day.snow bridges, snow chutes, fording raging streams...something for everyone. Lost all my salt!

Slept extremely poorly...50. Garmin said do a recovery run.  Still had many recovery hours accumulated before this run. Felt amazingly good the last 10k. Like out on a little 20k run. Strange.

5k pack felt extremely heavy.

Was dreaming of staying ovenight at the Balme hut on the climb...get warm and dry...acclimatize at 2500. Of course it was still closed. Almost got blown off a snow field in heavy winds. The bus at La Tour wasnt tempting surprisingly.
