Exploring new trail for the first time since crossing the CT border 11 days ago. Thought it might flatten out as I deviate from the spine of the Green Mountains and say goodbye to the Long Trail. Turns out there’s mountains over here too. Morning hours spent at the Killington deli where I rendezvoused with the Salt Lake ladies. A mother/daughters tandem that I’ve seen a few times over the past week. Great people. Slow and steady to start things out. 9 miles by noon, then found a groove the rest of the day. The weather and vibes were on point. Lost my toothpaste, so ya can’t win um all
