Gucci continues north from Chicken Spring Lake; Speltz and I head south to Cottonwood Pass trailhead

Spletz's son Oliver ("Gucci") is hiking the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT).  Spletz and I met him at Kennedy Meadows South (KMS) to hike with him on the PCT up to Chicken Spring Lake.

Tragedy on the 1st night: Speltz's sleeping pad failed when he inflated. He had to sleep on the cold, hard ground for the next three nights. Ugh!
