Very spectacular weather today, and trails were in good condition. I originally wanted to make a run over to Lincoln/Lafayette after the out ‘n back to Flume and have Sara Sheedy pick me up at Lafayette Campground, but we were having such a good time that I decided to stick with just the two peaks for today (especially since I can go do Franconia Ridge whenever I want). We hit Liberty’s summit and I left my pack with her as I made my way over to Flume (I promise, I didn’t run - just descended quickly!), and then we took some photos on the Liberty summit cone before heading back down. Of all three hikes so far this summer/week, I’d say this one felt the best, especially because I don’t have to bike home after.
