An almost completely successful attempt at dodging thunderstorms all day. Rained right before I went to the station, rained when I got to Albany, was able to hide out at a gas station before climbing into the park, while climbing into the park, was able to hide under a lean-too at the top of the climb in. Then 4 miles from the end I got nailed. Oh well, hot shower and a successful tent setup will dry anyone off. 

Beautiful approach, awesome to see these mountains just pop out from nowhere while still being close enough to the river to enjoy those views as well. Will see how the body holds up but we're off to a good start. ‍
