I told Allison that my plan to was to have a big day and see what happened and I'd say in that respect, mission accomplished! Was honestly not mentally or physically prepared for this and probably had the wrong shoes on for 47 miles of road walks. All solvable problems if I'd put a little more effort into planning. Pulled the plug to not risk messing up training for RRR after hurting more and earlier than I felt comfortable with. 10 times out of 10 I think I'll feel better about taking a big swing and coming up short than not taking it.

Nice to feel like a thru hiker again, especially the 3 mile road walk to a shitty cup of coffee this morning.
