Afternoon Mountain Bike Ride

From gym: still dark out!

Dang, we both wish this one was a couple days ago when we still had legs for this FANTASTIC outing. It was shady, gradual elevation, pretty soft ground, 80% really runnable minus the start which could be great but it was underway of being trimmed back so there was a lot of snipped off brush debris on and along side of the trail making you question if one end was still stuck in the ground. The 2 track part was fabulous as was the trail part! Definitely an area to do again!  At this point, I felt good, but the limbs weren’t feeling like running after just shy of 60 miles of trails traveled over many days, so fast hiking with a little running was a solid choice. While enjoying my beer reward at the end, I looked over the battle wounds from this trip, some of which are highlighting the abrupt end to Run Woodstock Half, 2024 and all things considered, I feel great!! On-out for future adventures!!
