Holy Smoked! This peak was INSANE! Hardest summit out of all the mountains climbed in Colorado to date. Only 6 centennials left after this. Matt Allen and Jordan Kauffman toughed this peak with with me. Not only did the route require an 18 hour day but 32 miles and 9500 vert with so much route finding and class 4/5 climbing to the summit. Jordan Kauffman set up a rappelling station at the top and zipped down. 80m rope got stuck. Bummer. Humpback pass at the very end of the day felt like climbing back up Everest. Wildflowers are the craziest I’ve ever seen. Good vibes. So thankful to have this one done. God is good.
