Easy Pre-Race

Still Windy

Tried waiting just about as long as I could, but still blisteringly hot. Honestly wasn't terrible, but with a 10.5 CityStrides loop planned, I knew that once I crossed the bridge there was no going back. Made the last second call to go shorter given I still wanted to lift today and hadn't done that before the run. Made up this loop as I went and it turned out to be a pretty good seven mile loop. Only problem is that now I'm three miles behind schedule.

Right knee didn't feel great the first mile, but seemed to get better after that. Blaming the shoes, they are definitely nearing the end of their life.
