What a gorgeous summit with 360 views of all the giants around (Matterhorn, Grand Paradiso, Monte Rosa,…)

Started off shaky: 30min later than planned —> mechanical for me 5min into the ride —> “this closed trail right next to a river should surely be fine” —> mechanical for Andraz. 

But about 90min later than planned finally up on the trail. A mix of bike carry and hike-a-bike to 3630m 🤩

Super cold at the top - I wore a t-shirt, merino base layer, two puffies, goretex jacket, buff, winter gloves, and bandana AND I was cold. Especially in the high winds. 

Surprisingly more rideable on the summit part than I anticipated going up, but really good grip and you don’t see the exposure as much going down. Then a mega descend all the way to Cogne. 

V tired and V happy now ☺️
