Liberty Bell, Concord, Lexington, North & South Early Winter Spire. Great day with Ross & Liz. Liz was hit with a rather large rock from a careless and clumsy party in the gully…bleeding was initially quite bad so we were planning to go home before starting. Liz in classic fashion decided she wanted to rally. Gumby party continued to knock down rocks and get off route on the easiest approach and most well traveled 5.6 in the state. We solo’d the Beckey route in 15 minutes in order to save time, which was an absolute blast. Concord went a bit slower due to route finding issues. Ross and Liz swapped leads on Concord and Lexington, fixing a line at each pitch so I could then top rope solo to minimize transition times. Once we got in the groove and away from Gumby gulch, things got much faster. NEWS was an amazing 5.9+ but we were short on daylight, so we finished the traverse by soloing the easier south arete of SEWS (5.5?). I’m always impressed by Liz’s attitude and her strength and resilience. So good to have Ross on our team as well, kept things fun and positive, in addition to keeping a cool head on the harder stuff
