It’s been a while since I took the pup on a good adventure, wanted to see how we’ve held up over the years. Took a bunch of breaks to avoid overheating, and Ranger Rick decided that 1 mile from the end was a good time to take a quick nap in a dirty creek. Overall, he did great - definitely lost some of his youthful exuberance, but after mile 10 we settled into a light trot/quick walk pace and kept that up to the finish.

This is one of my favorite loops, made possible by the unsanctioned, but surprisingly high quality Fire Warden’s Trail off the back side of Hale.

We ran out of water on the Twinway, so had to add an out and back to the Guyot tent site.
