Park #4….we stayed in a super cool A frame last night with gorgeous views of the sky. Capitol Reef was full of surprises. We saw the petroglyphs of the Fremont people on sandstone cliffs, domes, natural bridges, water pockets and folds resembling a barrier “reef”. We stumbled upon a family of mountain goats where Clancy decided to entertain me with stories including the frightening habits of mountain lions. We enjoyed beautiful Fruita for the orchards, horses, Fruita schoolhouse, and delicious berry pie at Gifford House. We also found our dream van.
