Why you gotta do me like this Garmin. 

I mean, this wasn't a record breaking performance ( I mean it probably is for being the THIRD mountain run/hike of the day), but still a solid effort. Really pissed though about the watch fail, firstly on the north slide, and then again in the final third.

Got a really good start. Surprisingly and almost scary good given the fact that I was already 17 miles and 5000 vertical feet through my day. Willed myself to run the first 3 miles before walking, though I really wanted to walk at like 2.5. Still able to do some running on the singletrack, but it was tough as the trail was pretty flooded. Then the climb, thought I handled it well (though I usually do, it was my 11th time) but annoyed at the loss of GPS.

Made it to the top of the slide in just under an hour and the summit in about 63. Worked well between north and south, but didn't do amazing (segment wise) cause that was really where I hit the wall. I was decent on the descents, but the middle climb and south climb hit me hard. 

Got down the south slide safely, but decently quick I think. I'm sure I go faster in the winter, but theres way more freedom and protection if I were to fall. Got through the slide and started running when I could, but it was tough. Able to go pretty good (especially on the part where I had GPS, but there were more (and more difficult) water crossings than usual. Made it through most unscathed, but did take a little drink with my right foot on the toughest of the bunch. 

Hit the main trail (a quarter mile shy of where I should have been) and started running. Unfortunately, while I knew I had lost satellite at some point, I figured I had it here on the main trail. After running a 10:10 mile, I decided to call it a day cause clearly I was toast. Apparently though, I was  NOT still 1.5 miles away, but a mere 0.9 miles. Which also means I wasn't running no 10 minute mile. Based on my effort (or at least perceived effort) I'd guess I was going at or near or sub 7 minute pace. When I realized how close I was to the end (the four way intersection) I jogged in the last third of a mile.
