Bolton Backcountry Ski with Eric

Up Monroe Trail, ditched our skis about a mile from the summit and walked the rest of the way. Stunning, crystal views from the top - I've never seen Mt Washington and the Presidentials so clearly from VT. Could see as far south as Monadnock (or maybe it was Kearsarge.) Cloud layer over the lake made the ADKs look extra majestic. Got back to our skis and took the skin track over to the birch glades, but didn't follow it quite far enough to get over that little nose, so we ended up back at Monroe Trail a lot sooner than anticipated. Still had some great skiing on the way down.
