Took advantage of the thick ice and skied over to Colchester. Made great time to Porters Point with a tailwind, then skied to Marble Island, and then back to South Hero. Chilly but absolutely gorgeous day. Variable snowpack - the middle of the lake was wind buffed and fast, and close to shore was super deep snow which made for slow going. Some massive pressure cracks, but everything felt safe and frozen solid. Broad lake starting to freeze, maybe Stave Island tomorrow?
