Fun fact: Mt Monadnock (NH) is the second most hiked mountain IN THE WORLD

Just me and the stars tonight. Grabbed the wrong headlamp so it died on the way back. Soft concert in my earbuds on the way out, silence on my way in. When I got to the mountains I stopped and realized: it was perfectly silent. Deafening silence. Not a cricket, not a bug, not a car in the distance, not even the breeze. Had to stop and appreciate that for awhile (which is easy to do since there aren’t mosquitoes). After staying in Texas right off the highway with a loud vent in my room, this was more than welcome. I actually spent the whole day outside appreciating quiet (when I wasn’t helping a coworker with yard work)

The stars were gorgeous

Just wait until I learn how to use a real camera at night
