1500 miles of running in 2025. Somewhere in those miles were some of my lowest lows and highest highs (literally - climbing mountains). Running has broken me down and built me back up more times than I can count.

The last couple weeks were rough. After months of training, I got sick. Rather than crushing beers at the finish line, I was sipping soup on the couch.

I ran 26.2 today anyway - alone, not fully healthy, and honestly just angry. But running around the city reminded me why I do this. The windiest bridge run ever with Eliza Tewson, chasing Andy Ia and Jack Sullivan down Ocean Beach, endless Polo Field laps with Nils Maag and Ryan Thompson, Stanford runs with Ines W, power hiking up mountains with Anna Midgley Joe Kaming-Thanassi Mathilde Giroud Pedro Pinheiro-Chagas Cyrus Forbes Will T Ben Tjaden and so many others.   

These 26.2 miles don’t really matter. What matters are the 1500 miles before it - and the people who ran them with me.

Thanks for a 10/10 2025. Let’s do it again next year ❤️
