Late start by the time we picked up the hire bikes and started rolling. Our first pedal strokes coincided with the start of the rain, lasted all day, and seemed to get heavier with every mile. Mostly easy riding along cycle paths though, with a finish in the dark tackling the big climb up to historic Jiufen.
